We're Hiring!

Junk Giant Careers

Working for Junk Giant is hard work. We can start early in the morning and finish well into the evening. Your job consists of carrying and loading “junk” that can be quite heavy at times. You are expected to come prepared to work when the temperature is 100 degrees, or zero degrees. Rain or shine. Coming physically prepared means coming well hydrated and well fed in order to complete the days work with safety and efficiency.

So, why would anyone want to work for us then? The majority of team members will tell you that they actually really enjoy the work. It's totally different from your day to day work environment. It seems like every day is a little bit different. You get to see a lot of interesting items that people throw away. You also go different places and meet different people all day. There are several reasons why Junk Giant is in excellent team to be a part of.

Flexible Schedule and Competitive Pay

Junk Giant is open 7 days a week, Monday through Sunday, but we don't require Sunday shifts. You can let us know if you want the extra work on Sunday. Typical shifts are about 12 hours long. This means most team members will work between 2 to 4 shifts each week. The hours can be long, believe it!

The hours are long, but it can leave you with enough time off to focus on your other job, school, or just to enjoy life. If you need time off then sign offs are almost always granted if we are given at least two weeks notice. We ask that you make yourself available at least three weekdays and most Saturdays. This would be a great opportunity for college students as well! We are happy to work around your college schedule. If you are a member of the military reserves, we will be happy to work around your drill schedule.

PAY... Plus tips, commissions, and bonuses

All team members will start at $10 an hour. Raises are given based on performance and many circumstances you will have the opportunity to earn a base wage, tips, commissions, and bonuses. At Junt Giant we like to incentivize our team members when they do excellent work and help the company succeed and stay profitable.

Clearly defined responsibilities and job tasks

We have spent a couple of years learning everything there is to know about junk removal. We can train you on how to do your job efficiently. You will know exactly what your job responsibilities include, so that you have the resources necessary to be successful. Junk Giant is all about structure. If you do not enjoy structure and consistency, then this is probably not the job for you. We expect everyone to show up for each shift. Reliability is a huge factor. If we can rely on you to come to work then this would be a great fit for you. Reliable transportation and reliable means of communication are an absolute must.

Great, consistent company culture

Junk Giant is that an equal opportunity employer. We hire individuals with many different backgrounds and beliefs. We do, however, have certain personality traits that all team members are required to possess. We look for individuals who are willing to work very hard, have a good sense of humor, are clean cut and outgoing. By having these qualities you will fit well in the working environment. It's always best when team members can Gel with each other. These personality traits also impress our customers. Our customers come first and foremost. We love our customers with a passion.

Learn about small business growth, marketing, and operations.

If you have ever thought about starting your own small business this would be a great opportunity for you to learn. You will be learning from a business that values customer service and satisfaction above anything else. You will be learning from a business that has started from nothing to working their way through the ranks. You will be learning how to effectively market a service. You will learn why we have the standards that we have and why we created these systems for success. Learning these skills will help you move up the ladder with Junk Giant, or with a future employer.

Ability to stay physically active during your workday.

Working for junk giant can teach you mental toughness, grit, follow through, and sticking it out when things get tough. There's no better feeling at the end of the day knowing you gave your all. Standing there at the end of the day and looking back at what you were able to accomplish is a great and rewarding feeling. This mental toughness will carry you through many different facets of life. As a matter of fact, when I myself first started doing junk removal I struggled running three to four miles. After one year of working in the junk removal industry and with no additional cardiovascular training, I could go out and run 10 miles through a running trail with ease. This completely shocked me personally. I had no idea the type of shape this job can keep you in. It is also very healthy to have a strong mind and muscle connection.

is a long form text area designed for your content that you can fill up with as many words as your heart desires. You can write articles, long mission statements, company policies, executive profiles, company awards/distinctions, office locations, shareholder reports, whitepapers, media mentions and other pieces of content that don’t fit into a shorter, more succinct space.

Articles – Good topics for articles include anything related to your company – recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game – or the industry you’re in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too.

Mission statements – You can tell a lot about a company by its mission statement. Don’t have one? Now might be a good time to create one and post it here. A good mission statement tells you what drives a company to do what it does.
